According to bestselling author Craig Huey, evangelical Christians in the U.S. are the secret weapon to turn the nation around in the November elections. During an appearance on the "Counter Culture Mom" podcast, he told host Tina Griffin that "evangelical Christians who vote 84 percent conservative must be mobilized to actually vote" – whether it be local elections, state elections or the presidential election. Griffin, a former Hollywood actress and pop culture expert, agreed with her guest. She noted that in 2020, millions of Christians did not vote for a variety of reasons. Huey also uncovered that "approximately 30 percent of the evangelicals who would vote conservative are not even registered to vote." "We have 80 million evangelical Born Again Christians in the U.S., and it's really the secret weapon to turning America around and turning policies around that affect our culture. We have a huge opportunity. Things are going to become much darker if we do nothing and at the same time, things are going to get so much better if we are salt and light in our communities," said Huey. "Quite frankly, the evangelical vote in the past has changed elections on the local, county, state and federal level. There are churches right now that are involved in mobilizing their communities, and they are transforming their communities." But it's not just the individual voters themselves that need to mobilize. Griffin noted that the pastors, church leaders and people within the church also need to do so – as they are also the key to turning the country around. This is because the coming elections is one that deals with cultural, religious and Christian principles. "If any of those three groups do not mobilize, the Radical Left will win as they did in 2020 and 2022," she warned. "We can't let that happen."

If the Left can do ballot harvesting, so can Christian churches

According to Griffin, there are several keys to unlocking the 2024 election. One key is the use of legal ballot harvesting by churches – mirroring the Radical Left's strategy. Huey agreed with her, noting that ballot harvesting is legal in about 15 to 18 American states. Describing the strategy as "pretty savvy," the bestselling author noted that the Left realized it can win the local and presidential races by getting more people out to vote. Democrats have been able to identify their supporters, build a relationship with them and make sure they get out to the polling places. According to Huey, California Democrats passed a law in 2018 that allowed anybody to go and pick up a ballot from anyone. The Democratic Party subsequently utilized this strategy in the 2018 and 2020 elections. He also noted that Democrats managed to stem the "big red wave" in 2022 through ballot harvesting. Moreover, the author pointed out that the Democratic marketing machine is 10 to 15 years ahead compared to the "anemic" campaign of the Republicans. Griffin sadly agreed, but urged Christians to learn the modern techniques of messaging, advanced voter data, digital marketing and relational outreach to get out the vote. Huey wasn't all doom and gloom, however, as he mentioned a church in California that mobilized other churches throughout the Golden State. Ballot harvesting done at the churches involved managed to turn in 12,000 to 13,000 ballots. Because of this, individuals part of the said churches now control the local city council, the school board and several county seats.
