Internationally renowned style and fashion magazine Maxim has endorsed former President Donald Trump. The magazine has a circulation of nine million physical readers and has around four million unique digital and online visitors per month. Its public announcement posted on X on Oct. 18 attached an image of Trump driving a bright blue sports car with his wife Melania cross-legged sitting on top of it. "Maxim endorses Donald J. Trump for President," the handle @MaximMag, with more than 500,000 followers, tweeted. As of press time, it had already garnered 7.7 million views and around 140,000 likes. The publication has a worldwide reach, publishing 16 editions sold across 75 countries around the globe. American entrepreneur and holding company CEO Sardar Biglari is the publication's owner and editor-in-chief. The magazine has not yet released any more details about its decision to endorse the former president. Reports indicated that the announcement came after an online poll revealed that voters prefer Trump over Democratic presidential nominee and Vice President Kamala Harris. According to the survey on X, a majority of social media users voted for Trump over Harris. Of the more than 2,100 votes submitted in a poll on the platform by Maxim on Oct. 15, 59.1 percent of users said they prefer Trump while just 40.9 percent said they like Harris better.

Trump gets endorsements from Black personalities as Harris struggles to get their support

The support of the Black community seemed to have fallen for Harris, who has identified herself as a biracial Jamaican and Indian woman who does not have biological children and who was born to two immigrant parents in Oakland, California. Polls have shown that she has significantly lost the support of Black voters, particularly men, over the years. According to the latest New York Times/Siena College poll, Harris currently has the support of 78 percent of Black voters, down from the 90 percent support received by Democratic President Joe Biden in 2020. Meanwhile, Trump has been gaining massive support from Black celebrities. World-renowned boxer Mike Tyson endorsed the 45th POTUS for reelection last month. "I have my reasons [for wanting him to win]. He is just a good man. Listen, I don't agree with all his s--t. Nobody agrees with all my s--t, but you know, they [are] good people. No one is perfect in this world. Everybody got their s--t, you know," said Tyson. As per Fox News, other Black personalities who have announced their endorsements were rappers Lord Jamar and Kodak Black, former Pittsburgh Steelers Pro Bowlers Antonio Brown and Le'Veon Bell, New York Giants legend Lawrence Taylor, former National Football League star Herschell Walker, rapper-turned-preacher Mase and boxing promoter Don King. In a video posted by the Trump campaign, King said that Americans "must reelect him [Trump] to save ourselves." "You know, a vote for Trump is a vote for yourself … Because we have to fight the system of lies and the creation of wrong being right and right being wrong … that’s got to be eliminated. And the only one who has the intestinal fortitude to be able to stand up and fight the system like it should be fought," said King. The declining support for Harris among Black Americans, according to the Times poll, is due to the growing belief that Democrats have failed to deliver on their promises in governance.
