Two federal agents reportedly visited a political activist's home over his social media posts, prompting the latter to film the interaction and post it online. Jeremy Kauffman, former U.S. senatorial candidate for New Hampshire and creator of the decentralized content platform LBRY, was the individual visited by the agents. The two plainclothes agents allegedly visited Kauffman's residence to ask about posts he made on social media. Kauffman's recording showed the agents requesting that he refrain from filming them. He refused to stop, instead notifying them of his intent to post footage of the interaction online. He also asked for the names of the agents, a request that went unanswered. "All I want to do is talk to you about a post that was made," one of the unidentified agents told Kauffman. The same agent was recorded brandishing a badge alongside a holstered sidearm. The activist went on to tell the agents that their visit was a waste of taxpayer money and speculated the agents' yearly average salary was likely more than $100,000. Kauffman told them: "Talking about burning a couple hundred dollars an hour just here, let alone all the time you guys are spending … to investigate something that you know is not against the law, right?" The agents – whose repeated requests to Kauffman to stop filming them fell on deaf ears – eventually departed after appearing thoroughly embarrassed. "You know Americans that believe in the Constitution think you're laughable," the homeowner chided the agents as they left. "You go home and you think about what you did today. Go home and think about it." According to InfoWars, it's unclear what social media post by Kauffman prompted the visit. Nevertheless, the footage of the exchange led to the agents being publicly shamed for targeting an activity protected by the First Amendment.

Is the U.S. turning into a POLICE STATE?

Kauffman later took to X to recount the incident, alongside footage of the exchange. He claimed in the post that the agents were from the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) – which is under the Department of Justice. "The FBI visited my house … for free speech acts they knew were not crimes. You can see the shame on their faces," he wrote. "This is the Democratic regime manifest." "The interaction is being praised as a model for how citizens can assert their rights when confronted by federal agents, especially in cases of potential entrapment," InfoWars noted. But one cannot help but wonder why such an incident happened in the first place if the government really respects the First Amendment. Thus, questions arise as to whether the U.S. is becoming a police state under the Biden-Harris administration. A similar instance happened in April, this time in the United Kingdom. Noticer News recounted the story of an Orthodox Christian named Hooper, who was visited by law enforcement at his home. Hooper managed to film three clips of the incident, which he later posted on social media. (Related: THOUGHT CRIME: British police investigating a Christian man for his opinions following widely publicized attack on Sydney bishop.) The visit stemmed from his posts about the April 15 attack on Assyrian Orthodox Bishop Mar Mari Emmanuel in Sydney, Australia. The cleric was attacked by a radical Muslim teen during a church service but fortunately survived. The first clip showed a female police officer from Hastings Police in East Sussex telling Hooper that "people have raised concerns" about his opinions on the attack. Meanwhile, he clarified in the second clip that his post about Christians taking a stand was in no way a call for violence. "We Christians can't even voice an opinion," Hooper told law enforcement in an exchange captured in the third clip. "You can't even have an opinion now without the police turning up. This is a police state." Watch Paul Joseph Watson recounting the story of a British man visited by law enforcement for voicing his disdain toward "trans rights" below.
