Vice President Kamala Harris, the Democratic presidential nominee, is reportedly busing in supporters from out of state for her campaign rally in New Hampshire. Citing "eyewitness and local reports," YourNews said several buses transported groups of attendees to the rally site at the city of North Hampton in the Granite State. Supporters lauded the move to bus attendees to the Sept. 4 rally, arguing that it allowed them to attend an event for their candidate they might not have been able to participate due to transportation concerns. Jane Thompson, one of the attendees, said: "It's about giving people an opportunity to hear from their candidate, and we were excited to be there." One resident took to social media to share more information about the scheme. According to them, one out-of-state bus and "half a dozen others" came from Massachusetts to New Hampshire. They continued: "Once in state, they're going through neighborhoods and intentionally not following the main routes like the Secret Service." "The same thing was happening in other states like Georgia. All over the internet and social media… New Hampshire residents have been calling in radio shows [and] talking about these buses." On one hand, organizers for the campaign have insisted that the strategy was simply part of a logistical effort to accommodate supporters from surrounding areas. On the other hand, critics point out that the strategy suggests a lack of local enthusiasm for Harris' presidential bid. "This is typical campaign theater," said political analyst Jacob Walters. "Busing in supporters is a strategy often used when there is concern about low turnout. But it can backfire by highlighting a candidate's difficulty in drawing crowds." But Matt Rollins, a Republican political strategist, begged to differ. "When you have to bring in people from outside the area, it suggests a disconnect with local voters," he explained.

Kamala's "supporters" only there for the FREEBIES

According to YourNews, the Sept. 4 campaign rally "has sparked concerns about the authenticity of the turnout, leading some to question the level of organic support for the vice president in the key battleground state." "The incident has drawn attention at a crucial time for the Harris campaign, as she works to build momentum in the final months before the 2024 election. New Hampshire, a key primary state, has long been seen as a bellwether for national campaigns, and generating grassroots support there is critical for any candidate seeking the Democratic nomination." But it appears that the "support" Harris ostensibly speaks of only happens when she promises to give freebies to attendees of her rallies – be it a free concert of something else. This could even extend to the entire country if she wins in November. One such instance of this was her campaign rally in Savannah, Georgia back in July. Modernity News reported at the time that Harris  "managed to draw a crowd to a venue bigger than a high school gym, to match Trump's rally optics" during the July 30 rally. However, many attendees left the venue as soon as Harris began to speak. (Related: Kamala Harris campaign rally in Atlanta marked by WALKOUTS.) Footage that made the rounds on social media showed people streaming for the exits at the Georgia State Convocation Center in Atlanta, just minutes after the vice president took the stage. Independent journalist Savanah Hernandez noted that the attendees who dashed for the exits showed up for the free concert. The said concert, which featured rappers Megan Thee Stallion and Quavo, lasted longer than Harris' actual speech. "She spoke for maybe 30 minutes, so it was a pretty short speech. I was honestly surprised to see people leaving so quickly, and [I] started filming after seeing continuous streams of people leaving fairly quickly after seeing her," Hernandez posted on X. "Were people at Kamala's rally for her or Megan Thee Stallion's concert? After people started leaving 10 minutes into [her] speech, I would say there's some validity to the rumors that people were there mainly for the celebrity appearances."
