House Judiciary Committee summons Big Tech CEOs to produce censorship collusion correspondence with feds
The House Judiciary Committee, chaired by Representative Jim Jordan (R-OH), has summoned the Big Tech CEOs
to produce all documents related to censorship and collusion with the federal government during the 2020 election and the covid-19 scandal. These suspect communications are to be provided to the Committee no later than two weeks after the correspondence occurs, and
must be provided on a “rolling basis” to ensure that the Committee can analyze this information as promptly as possible.
Federal agencies under Biden coerced social media companies to censor political opposition
The FBI’s Foreign Influence Task Force (FITF) and the San Francisco Field Office of the FBI works directly with Amazon, Alphabet, Apple, Meta and Microsoft “to facilitate sharing information about foreign malign influence with social media companies.”
While this objective sounds well-intentioned, it is not the only surveillance operation taking place between federal agencies and the top social media companies in the world.
Due to multiple Freedom of Information Act requests
and subsequent lawsuits, investigators have learned that the FBI and multiple federal agencies of the Biden administration routinely violate the First Amendment and use coercion to seize control over the operations of social media companies, to ultimately censor, shadow-ban and de-platform their political opponents and bury the truth. This coercion has included threats to strip the social media companies of their Section 230 Protections if the social media company did not go along with the government’s censorship demands.
While abusing power, the Biden White House would go on to commandeer one of the most egregious violations of free speech in the history of the United States, censoring important discussion on the contents of the Hunter Biden laptop, COVID-19 laboratory origins, vaccine injuries and unlawful mandates, among countless other topics that expose the crimes of the current regime.
The deeply troubling collusion between FBI and Big Tech resumes
The U.S. District Court for the Western District of Louisiana
issued a preliminary injunction against the FBI, prohibiting the agency from coercing or significantly encouraging social media companies to censor content. This ruling was largely affirmed by a unanimous panel of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.
However, the
Supreme Court issued a stay of the injunction, and the FITF “resumed outreach” with social media companies. In March 2024, FITF re-engaged with the major social media companies and resumed their authoritarian role, policing the speech of Americans under the guise of keeping people safe. The Department of Justice, also complicit in the censorship of Americans, also re-engaged with the major social media companies in the lead-up to the 2024 election.
In the formal letter, Jordan writes to the CEOs: “Given the FITF’s improper role in communicating with social media and technology companies during the 2020 presidential election, the resumption of meetings between the FITF and Big Tech before the 2024 presidential election is deeply troubling.” Now, as federal agencies arrogantly resume their operations with Big Tech, the House Judiciary Committee seeks full transparency on what is taking place behind the curtains.
Social media companies have established a pattern of violating individual rights while under duress to the demands of a deceptive, coercive federal government, and have therefore established an authoritarian relationship that will continue into the future. With these lines of communication established between bad faith actors in the federal government and in Big Tech, a censorship infrastructure is emboldened for the long haul. Narratives of control and deception will permeate online, and the power to manipulate, censor and persecute innocent Americans for their speech has been established as a “new normal.”
If no repercussions are enforced for the individuals involved in this
censorship collusion, on both the private and government side of things, then the nefarious relationship of deception, oppression and censorship will only deepen. Jim Jordan’s request to see a paper trail of ongoing collusion between the federal government and bad faith actors in Big Tech may come up short in restoring the rule of law and protecting America’s
First Amendment Rights.
