Rick Wiles, the founder of
TruNews, has described the Hamas' attack on Israel as
a well-planned and choreographed effort.
"What Hamas did is that they had an incredibly well-planned choreographed attack on Israel that apparently nobody thought that they could do," he said during the Oct. 9 episode of his program. "They got a lot of their fighters over the fence inside Israel"
"I mean – they blew up fences, drove bulldozers through fences [and] security barriers. They used paragliders, motorized wings [while] armed and shooting people on the ground. And they also used the guys on the paragliders to kidnap Israelis."
Wiles' co-host Dr. Raymond "Doc" Burkhart even remarked that the Hamas paraglider troops destroyed a tank in the process. He added that the attack happened on the Gaza border near an Israel Defense Forces (IDF) military checkpoint, which wasn't deep inside Israel but right against the Gaza Strip.
"Obviously, the operation that Hamas carried out was not targeted," Wiles remarked, adding that there were a total of 800 casualties with most of them soldiers. "They did not just target Israeli soldiers; they randomly shot anybody. It seemed like the motive was to kill as many civilians as possible. Maximum shock and awe; they went for shock and awe."
Hamas attack one of the worst massacres in Israel
The
TruNews founder described the Oct. 7 attack by Hamas as one of the worst massacres in Israel. Reporters who went to towns attacked by Hamas on that day saw cars burned out and dead bodies on the street. "It was really total pandemonium [and] chaos," said Wiles.
He also played a video of Hamas rockets flying in the sky above Israel on the evening of Oct. 7. According to Hamas, it fired 5,000 rockets while Israeli estimates put the number of rockets at only 2,500. Burkhart nevertheless remarked that it was still thousands of rockets, and lauded the Iron Dome air defense system for intercepting these.
Two days later on Oct. 9,
Israeli bombarded the Gaza Strip with airstrikes as retaliation. Israeli ministers have ordered a "complete siege" of the already blockaded and poverty-stricken Gaza Strip, cutting off supplies of food, water and electricity to its almost two million residents. (Related:

Hundreds Israeli civilians, soldiers and foreign nationals have also been taken hostage by Hamas, causing Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to announce that his country is at war. Israel said it is working to rescue the hostages and has recovered control of regions outside Gaza after some 48 hours of fighting.
Gaza, the small strip of land that is home to over two million Palestinians, is one of the most densely populated regions on Earth and has been under an Israeli land, air and sea blockade since 2007.
Hamas is a designated terrorist group supported by Iran that has controlled the Gaza Strip since 2007. Iran's permanent mission to the United Nations has denied the involvement of Tehran in Hamas' surprise attack on Israel, however.
