Venezuelan illegal immigrant paroled by Biden ARRESTED by ICE in Chicago for allegedly FUNDING TERRORISM
A Venezuelan illegal immigrant released into the United States through the parole pipeline of President Joe Biden and his administration has been arrested by
Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents in Chicago for
allegedly funding terrorism.
The Venezuelan national, initially arrested near San Luis, Arizona in April 2021, was released into the American interior under the provisions of
Biden's controversial parole program. This pipeline offers a path for migrants into American communities, even when their claims for asylum are questionable and they have been declared inadmissible.
The migrant was initially charged with inadmissibility under U.S. immigration law and issued a notice to appear before an immigration judge with the
Department of Justice's Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR).
However, on Aug. 21, only a few months after his release, an arrest warrant was issued in Valencia, Venezuela. The charges against the illegal include fraud, money laundering, association with organized crime and allegedly funding terrorism. At that time, the illegal migrant was already residing in Chicago, a city that has become a popular destination for thousands of migrants released through the parole pipeline.
"ERO [Enforcement and Removal Operations] Chicago is committed to apprehending those who mistakenly believe they can commit crimes and unlawfully hide from justice here," said ERO Chicago Acting Field Office Director LaDeon Francis. "Those who
engage in fraud and funding terrorism must be held accountable for their crimes — especially those who have also openly violated our federal immigration laws."
The ERO Chicago team, an operational directorate under ICE, is responsible for domestic immigration enforcement. The team confirmed the presence of the
Venezuelan criminal within its jurisdiction and successfully located and detained him without incident. He will remain in the custody of the ICE pending immigration proceedings.
As the arrest unfolds, the legal due process will be carried out by federal immigration judges within the Justice Department's EOIR to ensure that decisions are made based on the merits of each individual case.
At least half a million paroled illegal immigrants currently in the US
According to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), more than half a million illegal immigrants
have been released into America through Biden's parole pipeline.
A few months after taking office in 2021, Biden implemented an expansive "catch and release" initiative. This transformed the U.S.-Mexico border from a thoroughfare for border crossers to a European-style checkpoint where people are halted, briefly detained and then released into different parts of the United States.
The Federation for American Immigration Reform has recently reported that, under the Biden Administration and its parole pipeline policy, the illegal alien population in the U.S. has expanded to nearly 17 million – with a 2.3 million increase in illegal aliens since 2021. (Related:

These figures could be even higher, as prior estimates published in April by the Center for Immigration Studies suggested that over a million migrants had already been released into American communities.
