Half of the 10 best-selling beers in the U.S. have partnered with LGBT groups or individuals, according to an analysis by Newsweek. With the help of 24/7 Wall Street, the magazine looked at shipping data from Beer Marketer's insights to identify the 10 most popular beers in the United States. They are: Bud Light, Coors Light, Budweiser, Miller Lite, Corona Extra, Michelob Ultra, Modelo Especial, Natural Light, Busch Light and Busch. Newsweek found that Bud Light, Coors Light, Budweiser, Miller Lite and Michelob Ultra have all run campaigns in support of LGBT. Bud Light recently gained the ire of conservatives after it partnered with male-to-female (MTF) transgender Dylan Mulvaney. It partnered with Mulvaney to release special cans to celebrate her "365th day of womanhood" after "transitioning to a woman." Budweiser sponsored a number of LGBT events, including London Pride and Toronto Price, in 2019. The beer brand also released a special rainbow-colored bottle for World Price in the same year to raise money for the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD). Michelob Ultra announced in 2021 that it had partnered with LGBT advocate CeCe Telfer. The Jamaican MTF athlete who competed for Franklin Pierce University in New Hampshire was described as the "first openly transgender female athlete to win an NCAA title." Aside from supporting the LGBT space Center on Colfax in Denver, Coors Light had also been sponsoring the Denver PrideFest. GLAAD even described the brand as "among the most progressive for its employee policies toward gays." Miller Lite stated on its official website its $450,000 donation to the LGBT advocacy group Equality Federation. Together with the federation, the brand launched its "Open & Proud" campaign in 2021 where inclusivity is promoted in bars where Miller Lite is served. The Belgium-based AB InBev SA owns Bud Light, Budweiser and Michelob Ultra. Meanwhile, Molson Coors owns Miller Lite and Coors Light.

Bud Light's partnership with Mulvaney draws strong backlash

A spokesperson for Anheuser-Busch, which owns Bud Light, Budweiser and Michelob, said the company works with hundreds of influencers as one of many ways to connect with audiences across various demographics. The spokesperson added: "From time to time we produce unique commemorative cans for fans and for brand influencers, like Mulvaney." (Related: Budweiser commits corporate SUICIDE by trying to shove TRANS perversion down the throats of beer drinkers.) But Bud Light's collaboration with the MTF transgender did not sit well with many conservative commentators, who quickly announced boycotts of the brand. These included Matt Walsh of the Daily Wire and Mike Crispi of "Mike Crispi Unafraid." Country musician Travis Tritt also announced that he would drop Bud Light from his touring hospitality rider over its partnership with Mulvaney. He tweeted: "I will be deleting all Anheuser-Busch products from my tour hospitality rider. I know many other artists who are doing the same." While Tritt used a peaceful approach, singer-songwriter Kid Rock resorted to a more extreme method of airing his disapproval. In a video posted on social media, the musician of "Bawitdaba" fame shot up cans of Bud Light – his attempt to send a message that was as "clear and concise as possible." "F*** Bud Light, and f*** Anheuser-Busch. Have a terrific day," Kid Rock concluded the video, flashing his middle finger twice. Visit GayMafia.news for more stories about companies supporting LGBT.
