InfoWars founder Alex Jones said the fentanyl crisis does not discriminate as
both young people and old people fall victim to it.
According to the National Institute of Drug Abuse (NIDA), fentanyl is a synthetic opioid 50 to 100 times
more potent than morphine. While fentanyl is often prescribed for serious pain, especially after surgery, it is also made and used illegally.
Illegal fentanyl manufactured in laboratories is often cited as the
cause of many overdose deaths. It comes in different forms – powdered, dropped onto blotter paper, placed in eye droppers and nasal sprays or made into pills that resemble their prescription counterpart.
Jones then recounted several recent reports of young people inexplicably dying in Mexico, adding that these deaths were linked to fentanyl. Even the American mainstream media has told Americans to never go there due to the dangers, he said.
The
InfoWars founder also shared that three people he knew had lost their lives to fentanyl.
First was the 24-year-old niece of his acquaintance, a medical student who had gone to a party. A blood test showed that fentanyl caused her demise, with Jones thinking that someone spiked her drink with the opioid.
Second was another acquaintance of his, who died at 56 years old while on a visit to the Dominican Republic. The man visited a minibar and drank a glass of whisky laced with fentanyl that caused his demise.
Lastly, Jones mentioned his 70-year-old friend who underwent minor heart surgery. The man of advanced age almost died after an anesthesiologist used fentanyl as an anesthesia during the procedure.
Fentanyl crisis out of hand, Jones says
According to Jones, the fentanyl crisis has gotten out of control – with deaths rising every few months. While statistics claim that the opioid is killing 100,000 people a year, he believes the numbers are actually higher. (Related:

He also recounted that the U.S. government created its own fentanyl back in the 1970s. Other parties such as the Chinese communists, the MS-13 gang and the rest of the criminal groups later figured out how to manufacture this synthetic opioid.
But Jones was quick to point out that there are no fentanyl deaths in China. This is because people caught selling opioid drugs there are executed.
"I [got to] tell you this: I don't trust this criminal government to carry out the death penalty. I know they love to target innocent people," he said. "But at the same time, I really think they should expedite the execution of people selling fentanyl."
He ultimately warned that any person who isn't a drug addict, whether young or old, can die or almost die by accidentally taking fentanyl. He also admonished young Americans not to experiments with drugs – whether pills, ecstasy or any other.
