Former Republican and actor Kevin Costner, star of the television show Yellowstone, appeared in a white t-shirt and cowboy hat with a message only a Democrat or never-Trump Republican could love. The former Republican actor who left the Republican Party in 1990’s, shared the image on social media. The unpopular Wyoming Rep. Liz Cheney who’s part of the Jan 6 Witch Hunt Committee, re-posted the photo of Kevin Costner and his “moobs” (man boobs) on Twitter with the caption, “Real men put country over party.” (Article by Patty McMurray republished from 100PercentFedUp.com) The extremely unpopular US Representative Liz Cheney, who likely won her seat thanks to the name recognition tied to her dad, former VP Dick Cheney, is likely going to get a shellacking in Wyoming’s primary election, where she will face the President Trump-endorsed candidate Harriet Hageman. “Real men put country over party,” Cheney tweeted in the photo showing Costner smiling on the set of his tv show. Newsweek reports – Despite his endorsement of Cheney, Costner does not consider himself to be a Republican anymore. Earlier in his life, Costner was considered a Republican but has supported Democrats since the 1990s. In fact, he endorsed Pete Buttigieg, then the mayor of South Bend, Indiana, and now the Secretary of Transportation, during the 2020 Democratic primary—later supporting President Joe Biden’s election campaign. “I think we really have to have a president for both sides,” he said in a 2020 interview with Variety. “And for the people who don’t vote for Biden, if Biden wins, it’s necessary that he address what they’re concerned about. I think he has that level of bandwidth to understand that the group that doesn’t vote for him needs attention. They have their own concerns, and we have to think about that.” In a 2020 interview with The Daily Beast, Costner said he goes “back and forth” on his votes and called Trump “dangerous.” “The Democratic Party doesn’t represent everything that I think, and neither does the Republican Party right now—at all. So, I find it too limiting,” he said. Wyoming voters will decide between Cheney and Hageman on August 16. Whoever wins the primary would be the overwhelming favorite in the Equality State.
