IWF introduces "Women's Bill of Rights" to protect females from transgender ideology

The Independent Women's Forum (IWF), a non-profit focused on economic policy issues of concern to women, has introduced the "Women's Bill of Rights" in response to the transgender ideology that aims to destroy Western culture. According to the bill's website, radical gender ideologues are trying to redefine womanhood as a subjective state unrelated to biology. This is not just about semantics as it limits opportunities and threatens the privacy and safety of women. "Gender ideology is just one strand of a much bigger, radical, Marxist agenda, and that is critical theory," IWF Senior Policy Analyst Carrie Sheffield said. "So you've got critical race theory, critical gender theory, [and] critical class theory. That is a bigger assault on freedom." Sheffield explained the organization's Women’s Bill of Rights and the protection it seeks to offer to females. "The definition of what it means to be a woman is under attack; the definition of what it means to be a mother is under attack in terms of the protections for women and girls that we have been fighting for," Sheffield said, referencing the biological males that compete in women's sports. "There are biological realities for women, and they put us at a physical disadvantage to biological men. And the fact that we have to spell this out, I think, is unfortunate." She said she is not against anyone identifying themselves as they wish in their personal life, but there are biological differences that should be respected – especially in law. She noted that the laws under Title IX were created to protect women but are now at risk. "And now they are under assault because some people want to allow biological men to come in and take away scholarships and championships and opportunities, and we believe that it is counter to science and it is counter to the law," Sheffield said. Meanwhile, House Committee on Oversight and Reform Representative Chairwoman Carolyn Maloney and other congressional Democrats are again nudging to amend the Constitution and append the Equal Rights Amendment (ERA). "As women leaders in Congress, we are here today still fighting this same battle. We won't stop until we win when the ERA is enshrined in the U.S. Constitution," Maloney said during a speech on the ERA anniversary last March 22. Sheffield said attorney and Eagle Forum founder Phyllis Schlafly fought against the ERA when it was first introduced because it would achieve the opposite of what it proposes. "What Phyllis and the conservatives said at that time was that if you put this into place, you are actually going to erase women. You are going to force biological women into the draft. You are going to allow men into women's bathrooms because it is not going to recognize that there are actual biological distinctions," Sheffield pointed out.

Woke culture is launching transgender values as the new acceptable norms

The woke ideologies are slowly sticking their way into society, forcing small concessions of the transgender ideologies, hoping it all gets acceptable and normal eventually. Public speaker and pro-life activist Jonathon Van Maren wrote in his blog: "Eventually, we lose our ability to be shocked. Slowly, the new language no longer jars us," he said. He also cited some instances that gaslighted and conditioned the public's mind to take in the woke Marxist agenda. One is when President Joe Biden's Assistant Secretary for Health Rachel Levine, who was born male under the name of Richard, urged legislation to "empower" the children to go on puberty blockers and get sex reassignment surgery. This was during a recent interview on MSNBC's "Andrea Mitchell Reports." "The castrations and double mastectomies and other mutilations are in the service of affirming the gender of these children, rather than changing to the sex they believe themselves to be. See what they did there?" Van Maren pointed out. Meanwhile, Merriam-Webster amended the definition of the terminology female to "having a gender identity that is the opposite of male." "By literally changing the terms of the debate, trans activists can ensure that they control the outcome because words mean what they decide they mean, just as reality and biology can be redefined on a whim," Van Maren emphasized.
